Plastic-Free Popups

Travelling the world with my foodie family, we intend to explore, discover and share our plastic-free popup adventures on the way.

The relationship between food and plastic affects us all, it's something I battle with most days as the bin fills with more and more plastic wrap, that is often totally unnecessary. Not only the waste, toxins from plastics can also have hormone-like effects within the body. I want to live with less plastic, especially single use. I want to model to my kids a life with less plastic. It's not easy, and not always possible, but I'm taking steps to make this happen, focusing on progress, not perfection. I welcome collaborations with others with a similar passion. We can learn from each other and share delicious food on the way.

About The Blog

Food . Family . Travel . Sustainability

I am a Nutritional Therapist and Chef at Chillout yoga retreats UK, working alongside my 2 sisters for the past 10 years. I love to create an experience around food that is nurturing, invokes a sense of community and connection.

My husband and I both come from families where love, community, health, and well-being are central. We hope to continue their work.

I believe sustainability builds community. We will experience many different cultures and communities as we travel, and want to give something back. Through plastic-free popups we hope to encourage events that bring people together, share plastic-free living tips and collaborate with others who are involved in this powerful and essential movement.

Follow us as the story unfolds. To see what we've been up to, browse my site, learn about my passions, and explore what excites and interests you as well.

Loran and I had spent 8 weeks travelling around South East Asia, long before we had kids. We would often see travelling families, playing games together in cafes and beach bars, and from then, our dream of travelling as a family was born.

We are now almost three m...

I attended a "Plastic Free Lewes" meeting last week, where members of the community come together to take action on single use plastic in the town I live. Amongst the group of 30 or so, were local residents, business owners and local politicians. It was an inspiring, i...

This weekend was spent packing, storing, giving away and throwing out STUFF!!! It’s unbelievable.. There’s so much of it. Once over the initial resistance to let go, comes the liberating feeling to shed, to realise it’s really not THAT important.

We are each taking 40L...
